Addicted


I personally used to struggle with this... I frequently used food as a drug when I felt stressed, uncomfortable, overwhelmed, sad, or bored. I seriously could DEMOLISH a bad of Cool Ranch Doritos in one sitting- only realizing it once I hit the crumbs at the bottom of the bag. I ate mindlessly and uncontrollably. I felt awful about myself.

I had to learn how to break that habit from the exact moment of my trigger, in order to control it. It wasn't until I learned how to overcome that urge to run to my comfort foods, that I finally made progress in my weight loss journey.

You see, being healthy is NOT just physical, it's mental and emotional too! In fact, I'd say it's WAY MORE in your MIND than in your BODY. You aren't really healthy until ALL of you is healthy :)

Refill Your Bucket

Starting out today, the awesome message from church this weekend sticks in my head- 

"You MUST remember to fill your emotional bucket!"



As we get stressed and over-worked, it's easy to drain ourselves down to nothing. Every problem, phone call, urgent email, and unfinished task pokes a hole in our emotional bucket. It's important to do things DAILY that fill you back up and keep you from running empty.

So what can we do to stay full, even amongst the draining holes?

For me that includes spending time with my husband, reading my bible or taking a nice long bubble bath! It can be as simple as listen to music or even reading a good book. All these things fill you up so you can tackle the next thing draining task in your day.

So, what fills you up? What makes you feel re-energized and alive again?!?

My T25 Transformation

My T25 Transformation

This is how I'm ending the year - Better than I started it!

Here are my results from the last 10 weeks - Holidays and all...

I am down 15 lbs and 4% Body Fat! I weigh less than I did when I walked down the aisle over 7 years ago Now, I wasn't perfect by any means: I had to modify and I had a cheat day or two along the way, but I'm glad that I still chose to do something.

I'm excited to be starting X3 next week with my group- These results will be double in 90 days I'm not stopping!!
